Having to sit there with no control and watch the Philadelphia Eagles blow a 21-point lead to their NFC East rival, the Dallas Cowboys, in the 24-21 Week 12 loss was already bad enough, but the injuries that piled up in the game were even worse.
Cornerback Adoree' Jackson suffered the first serious injury, sustaining another concussion and not returning to the game. Safety Reed Blankenship also suffered what appeared to be a thigh injury in the second half and also sat out the rest of the game.
Towards the end of the game, two more injuries occurred with special teams returner Xavier Gipson, who got hurt on the return he fumbled on, and was seen in a sling after the game. On the final long George Pickens reception to set up the Brandon Aubrey game-winning field goal, rookie safety Andrew Mukuba suffered a lower leg injury and was seen in a walking boot and crutches after the game.

Eagles could be in massive trouble in the secondary entering Week 13 vs. Chicago Bears
Jackson's injury was bad in the sense that Cooper DeJean got moved to the outside, and Michael Carter II filled in at slot. DeJean struggled against Pickens and CeeDee Lamb in coverage and was exposed a bit.
The major problem comes with safety, with two injuries in the position. Blankenship's injury hopefully isn't as bad as fans think, but for Mukuba to be in a walking boot and using crutches isn't good at all. It might be time for Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio to get creative.
When the Eagles traded for Carter from the Jets, general manager Howie Roseman had mentioned that Carter could play safety. It makes some wonder whether that will become a reality with both starting safeties hurt. At least, Carter could be considered one of the two starters.
Sydney Brown filled in when Blankenship got hurt, and he struggled badly. Brown was bad in coverage and missed tackles. He can't be the long-term solution.
The other issue is with Jackson, now with multiple concussions on the season; don't expect him to be rushed onto the field. Philly might have to put out there Jakorian Bennett and see if he was worth the investment in the preseason, as the Eagles would love to have DeJean back in the slot and Carter potentially move to safety.

Fangio will have his work cut out for him this week, as he has a ton of decisions to make about his secondary, which looks as banged-up as it has ever been.
