The Philadelphia Eagles have released their final injury report for Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills, and the fan base finally knows what's going to happen with linemen Jalen Carter and Lane Johnson.

Let's start with the bad news: Johnson will miss yet another game due to his foot injury. It was initially reported that he would practice this week for the first time, but he has once again not stepped on the field all week. Also, linebacker Nakobe Dean is going to be out for the Bills game with a hamstring injury, as defensive coordinator Vic Fangio had alluded to the fact that Dean could be out before the holiday break.

There is good news in Philly, though: Carter is back and will play in the game. He has missed the last three games with his shoulders injury, but has been practicing all week for the Eagles.

One other note on the injury report: offensive lineman Cameron Williams is listed as questionable with a shoulder injury, but was a full participant in the final practice of the week.

Eagles' injury report has some good and bad news for the Birds

Carter's return is excellent for the Eagles, as it will only enhance their chances of stopping Josh Allen and the Bills' offense, which is number one in rushing, led by James Cook. The Eagles will have Carter, Jordan Davis, Moro Ojomo, Byron Young, and Brandon Graham to help stop that elite rushing attack.

As for the offensive line, at this point, the Eagles might hold Johnson out for the rest of the regular season and focus on getting him ready for the postseason. Fred Johnson will once again replace Lane Johnson at right tackle.

Losing Dean is a tough break, but it was expected, as the Eagles could end up being super cautious with his hamstring concerns and wait to bring him back for the playoffs, similar to Lane Johnson. The good news is that rookie first-round pick Jihaad Campbell will step in as the starter for Dean, which he did for the first seven games of the regular season when Dean was recovering from his knee injury from the 2024 NFC Wild Card game.

The Eagles' injury report is looking better than it has been, but Johnson and Dean's absences are going to be felt for the last challenge of the season before the playoffs.
