The Philadelphia Eagles are focused solely on winning yet another Super Bowl, but it is time for general manager Howie Roseman to start thinking about the future.

There might be some significant roster changes after a disappointing season, despite the team being 10-5 and NFC East champions again. The Eagles have focused on getting younger at every position, and the 2026 NFL Draft could be an extension of that.

This draft process could go a lot differently than Eagles fans think, as there could be some stunning selections made to ensure the future of the franchise.

Eagles' three-round 2026 NFL mock draft

Round 1, Pick 27: Chris Bell, WR, Louisville

There is a lot of talk about A.J. Brown not being in an Eagles uniform beyond the 2025 season, but the dead cap money makes it hard for any team to want him. If the Eagles were able to find a trade partner who could take him off their hands while helping on the financial part of it, Philly might make the deal and turn DeVonta Smith into the number one receiver.

That would leave Chris Bell to be a perfect fill-in as a wide receiver two, as he's got great size and speed, as Brown does. This past season with the Cardinals, Bell caught 72 passes for 917 yards and six touchdowns; those are numbers worthy of a first-round pick who can impact the Eagles' offense right away.

Round 2, Pick 59: Brendan Sorsby, QB, Cincinnati

As Michael Keaton said in Batman, "You wanna get nuts? Come on, let's get nuts." Roseman loves to make his team the "quarterback factory," and there is much speculation that he could use an early draft pick on a quarterback to develop, just in case things don't work out with Jalen Hurts. How this affects Tanner McKee is that the Eagles could trade up to land a high draft pick for him, giving him a chance to start elsewhere.

In comes Sorsby to serve as Hurts's backup, who is athletic and has improved as a passer in 2025. With the Bearcats this season, Sorsby threw for 2,800 yards and 27 touchdowns to five interceptions, adding 580 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. Let him learn behind Hurts. This is a guy who can be a solid NFL starter for another team or, potentially, the Eagles (don't be too triggered, Eagles fans).

Round 3, Pick 70: Max Klare, TE, Ohio State

If the options were better for the Eagles in the first round at tight end, they would most likely do that since pretty much all their tight ends are not under contract for 2026. The Eagles will most likely move on from Dallas Goedert, since he will get more money elsewhere, and potentially bring back Grant Calcaterra as the backup.

That leaves the starting tight end vacancy open for Buckeyes tight end Max Klare. After playing with Purdue for three seasons before the 2025 season, Klare has caught 43 passes for 448 yards and two touchdowns for Ohio State. Don't expect Klare to be a dominant force in his rookie season, but the Eagles have been great about developing tight ends within the franchise, so he could eventually become a solid starter.

Round 3, Pick 98: Drew Shelton, OT, Penn State

The Eagles can never pass up a chance to get an offensive tackle if they drop far enough to go after. With Lane Johnson getting banged up often, Philly could use a younger option at right tackle to develop behind him.

Penn State has produced some great talent, and Shelton would be a great addition to the Eagles' line. He allowed just two sacks in 2024, and despite a drama-filled 2025 season for the Nittany Lions, Shelton still has himself in a position where he could develop into a nice starter in the NFL.
