Another week of the Philadelphia Eagles dealing with such a laundry list of injuries on the roster that it is truly just ruining everything about this season.

The good news is that the injury report is starting to somewhat decrease, so it's not looking as bad. What is not so great is that there are still 19 players on the list, with six of them not practicing, which is a terrible omen for their upcoming Week 9 game against the New York Giants.

So how bad does the injury report look, and what does it mean for the Giants game? Here's a look at the ridiculously long Eagles injury report and breaking it all down.

Eagles' second injury report before Week 9 showdown against the Giants

Since the injury report has been so long for the Eagles, we are only going to focus on those that are either not practicing or limited in practice. Here is everyone that showed up on the injury report as a full participant:

  • Zack Baun, LB (Shoulder)
  • Markel Bell, OT (Finger)
  • Jordan Davis, DT (Thumb)
  • Landon Dickerson, OG (Hip)
  • Dallas Goedert, TE (Knee)
  • Jordan Mailata, OT (Elbow)
  • Kenny Moore II, S (Glute)
  • Moro Ojomo, DT (Neck)

Jihaad Campbell, LB (Hamstring/Quad)

Thursday Injury Status: DNP

Campbell appears to be on his way to missing his second straight game with the hamstring and quad injury. Jeremiah Trotter Jr. could be getting another start at linebacker alongside Baun. This is more about the depth at linebacker already hurting, since the Eagles have so few players at the position at the moment.

Michael Carter, S (Abdomen)

Thursday Injury Status: DNP

Carter has been missing a lot of time lately with the abdominal injury, and it doesn't look like it is getting better. It appears the Eagles will have to play Andrew Mukuba and a banged-up Kenny Moore again, with Marcus Epps probably getting more reps. Just another cherry on top of the cake that has been an awful season at safety.

Britain Covey, WR (Knee)

Thursday Injury Status: DNP

Covey is pacing to miss another week for the Eagles as well, which means Cooper DeJean could be the main punt returner in Week 9. Not exactly a great look to have one of the star defensive players putting himself at risk for injury when he already has not been 100% all season.

Jonathan Jones, CB (Hamstring)

Thursday Injury Status: DNP

Jones is pacing to miss his second straight game with a hamstring injury, which really hurts depth at cornerback. That means that Quinyon Mitchell and Riq Woolen need to be healthy. Otherwise, it could be Kelee Ringo going in at outside corner, and Eagles fans know what happens then.

DeVonta Smith, WR (Hamstring)

Thursday Injury Status: DNP

Smitty is now looking like he's about to officially miss half the season with his hamstring injury. It really makes some wonder why he wasn't just put on IR at this point. If the Eagles lose another game, could that be the play for the rest of the season and just shut him down?

Dontayvion Wicks, WR (Ankle)

Thursday Injury Status: DNP

Wicks has not played since the Panthers game and might end up being in the same boat as Smith. If he is not going to play and the Eagles will keep losing game, he might be another candidate for IR and just shut his season down for good.

Saquon Barkley, RB (Hamstring/Back)

Thursday Injury Status: Limited

To some Eagles fans, it's good news that this week Barkley appears will have two practices instead of one. For others, this is the Eagles putting their star player at risk of injury right before the bye week. That is for fans to debate, but it's a good sign that Barkley is at least feeling better enough to practice more after missing Wednesday's workout.

Jake Elliott, K (Right Ankle)

Thursday Injury Status: Limited

While having a kicker on the injury report isn't ideal, it doesn't appear that Elliott's injury is serious enough for Philly to sign another kicker. At this point, Elliott should be good to play and let's face it, it's not like the Eagles kick many field goals anyway, so nothing to worry about here.

Jonathan Greenard, EDGE (Ankle)

Thursday Injury Status: Limited

Greenard is at least consistently practicing, but continues to be limited. Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said it's a lack of practice that has ruined Greenard's start to the season. It doesn't appear this will help matters either, as he has become a massively expensive bust.

Jalyx Hunt, EDGE (Knee/Ankle)

Thursday Injury Status: Limited

Hunt continues to battle through his leg injury, which is a good sign, but he's clearly not playing at 100%. There might be some discussions about him going on IR if the Eagles' season continues to trend downward, so he can fully heal.

Tanner McKee, QB (Rib)

Thursday Injury Status: Limited

It's been a rough week for McKee, being benched for Joe Milton III and dealing with a rib injury. He should be good to go as the backup, but Eagles fans have to somewhat feel for the guy for being in a tough situation.
