Philadelphia Eagles fans didn't have too long to process the fact that they lost three players for at least four games to the IR, including starter Nolan Smith Jr., Jakorian Bennett, and training camp darling Darius Cooper. That's because more injuries have popped up, and they are more concerning.

The Eagles released their first injury report of Week 4 before their Sunday showdown with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Three starters on defense did not practice with linebacker Zack Baun (knee), Jihaad Campbell (triceps), and Adoree' Jackson (groin). Starting right tackle Lane Johnson was limited with his stinger in his neck, and backup quarterback Tanner McKee was limited with his right thumb injury. Some good news is that running back Will Shipley was a full participant with his oblique injury.

Baun was seen at practice on Wednesday wearing a knee brace to protect it. Campbell told reporters after practice that he is taking it "day-by-day" and his status for Sunday is unknown. Jackson's injury was reported earlier this week after getting hurt in the Eagles' 33-26 win over the Rams, as a possibility to miss their Week 4 matchup.

Crushing blow to Eagles' defense if more player are out

If things couldn't get harder for the Eagles, they just did. The linebacker position is already out with Nakobe Dean out one more game before he can be removed from IR if healthy enough. Without Baun and Campbell, the pressure would be on second-year linebacker Jeremiah Trotter Jr. to step up and play.

If Bennett and Jackson are both out in the secondary, that means Kelee Ringo will get his shot, as alluded to by Eagles defensive coordinator Vic Fangio on Tuesday. It also opens the door for rookie Mac McWilliams to get some reps as well.

The Eagles are already cursed against the Buccaneers, having won only one game in the last 10 years against them. They need everyone available if they want to stay undefeated.
