The Philadelphia Eagles might be finding themselves in a sticky situation going into their Week 4 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
It was reported on Monday that Eagles cornerbacks Adoree' Jackson and Jakorian Bennett are dealing with injuries that might cause them to miss the game against the Buccaneers. Jackson has a groin injury while Bennett's injury is unknown.
This is opening the door to the possibility of Kelee Ringo finally getting his shot to start in 2025 after an up-and-down training camp. Ringo started training camp competing with Jackson for the CB2 job, but had a disastrous two-game run in the preseason that resulted in his elimination from the competition.
Through three games, Ringo hasn't taken a single snap on defense, but has played 84% of the snaps on special teams. He's racked up four tackles.

Despite the lack of experience on defense in 2025, that hasn't stopped Ringo's defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio, for making sure he's prepared for the moment to step on the field. During Fangio's press conference on Tuesday, he told reporters that he recently told Ringo that he will have an opportunity this season.
“I think he knows that he’ll get a shot for some reason, and he’ll be ready.”

Ringo has the traits that the Eagles want in their CB2 cornerback that no other team has in the NFL. His size separates himself from any corner, standing at 6-foot-2. When Eagles fans saw him at mini-camp at first, he would tower over the other defensive backs. A rare sight to see.
Where Ringo has struggled is going up against receivers in one-on-one situations. When he gives too much space in coverage, he struggles to get to the receiver fast enough to make at least a pass deflection, and he missed too many tackles in the preseason.

If Ringo gets his chance on Sunday, what an opportunity it will be for him to prove Eagles general manager Howie Roseman right in letting Darius Slay go in free agency.
