This will probably wear off at some point, and we'll allow ourselves an opportunity to celebrate. We're probably still a day away from arriving there though. At the time of this story's release, we still aren't 24 hours removed from seeing the Philadelphia Eagles raise the Lombardi Trophy.
That said, we've spent more time thinking about how the Eagles won. We've spent less time thinking about the fact that they won.
Who would have thought? We called friends to ask them 'Is this really happening?'. Well, it happened. One of the greatest Eagles teams validated itself by doing what another great team couldn't do two years ago.
They finished the story with a happy ending.

Do you see it now? This is why we never lose confidence. We knew how good this team could be if they put it all together, and how about it? Jalen Hurts and his Eagles teammates saved their best performance for when they had to have it.
They've said the same thing all season. They said the same thing in the days leading up to the game. The message didn't change after the game. This entire season and leading up to Super Bowl Sunday, they blocked out the outside noise and didn't give a you know what about what anyone was doing outside of their own locker room.

Philly never felt fear of the Chiefs mystique. The stage wasn't too big for them. They wanted to win this for the city they play in, for each other, and for themselves. That's what they did.
The 2024-25 Eagles believed they were the only people who could stand in their way. They were right. Super Bowl LIX wasn't a game. It was never competitive. It was a coronation, and everyone on the roster will forever be a Super Bowl champion!
