Everyone who walked out of Lincoln Financial Field felt pretty good about quarterback Jalen Hurts' performance after the Philadelphia Eagles shut out the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0 in Week 15.

Hurts finished the game completing 12 of 15 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions. He also rushed for 39 yards on seven carries in the win.

After the game, Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata was asked about Hurts and how he was able to bounce back from a five-turnover match in the 22-19 overtime loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 14. Mailata kept his answer simple: Hurts stays consistent.

"Just consistency, man," Mailata said via The Athletic's Zach Berman. "Didn't matter what happened last week. Just attacked his work week the same way, win lose or draw. His consistency is reassuring."

Statement performance from Hurts when he needed it the most

This should calm Philadelphia sports radio for at least one week, after questions started to rise about whether Hurts should even begin. Hurts did have a long period of rough performances after the bye week, but came back with vengeance in one game.

It was an excellent overall performance from Hurts as he was accurate with his passes, including a beautiful deep ball pass of 44 yards to DeVonta Smith and his 27-yard touchdown pass to A.J. Brown in traffic. Even the quarterback-designed runs were great, including his 13-yard run when he needed 12 to get the first down.

The Eagles' quarterback now has the team in a position that they are either one win or a Dallas Cowboys loss away from clinching the NFC East title. It would be the first time that a team from the division has won it back-to-back in 20 years.

Hurts appears to be back into his former form with his play, but he still has three more games to keep all those critics quiet until the postseason. One thing about him, though, is that his confidence and calm demeanor will always be the same no matter what.
