The Philadelphia Eagles needed quarterback Jalen Hurts to bounce back after a rough five-game stretch, and he certainly answered the call.
Hurts dominated the Las Vegas Raiders in the Eagles' commanding win in Week 15. The former Super Bowl MVP had such a good game that Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni actually decided to bench Hurts for almost the whole fourth quarter.
In three quarters of play, Hurts completed 12 of 15 passes for 175 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions. He added seven carries for 39 yards, with his longest run of the game being from 13 yards.
Hurts finally puts together the game Eagles fans expected
Everything about this game for Hurts was about as perfect as he could have been. He was just a few points away from a perfect quarterback rating, given how well he played.
All the throws Hurts made were on point, and it wasn't just short throws. His 44-yard completion to DeVonta Smith during the game was a perfect deep ball completion. Hurts' 27-yard touchdown throw to A.J. Brown at the beginning of the fourth quarter was the icing on the cake for the game.
The best part of the game was the quarterback-designed runs the Eagles ran, and how effective they were. Philly had struggled in shotgun because defenses were not scared of Hurts running the football, but he was willing to do it in this game, and it worked. We can only assume that all those reports about Hurts not being willing to run QB-designed runs may not be true anymore.
Everyone will point out that Hurts did this against a bad team like the Raiders, which is fair. The reality is that this is the NFL, and Hurts looked great against an NFL team and should get some respect for that.

While the Eagles fan base needs two straight weeks of good play from Hurts, the actual test is going to be in Week 17 against the Buffalo Bills, but until then, everyone should be happy about his play.
