For months, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has taken a ton of heat for his play calling and the offense's struggles, but one personal moment pushed all that to the side for the fan base.

After the Eagles took a bad 24-15 loss to the Chicago Bears, head coach Nick Sirianni said that he would stick with Patullo as the play caller. The next day, a small group of people threw eggs at Patullo's house, prompting the police to intervene.

In his first public comments since the incident, Patullo had the perfect response. While understanding criticism is part of the job, he, like anyone else, wants his family left out of it.

"As coaches and players, we all know that part of our job is to handle criticism. And so it’s perfectly acceptable to sit up here and talk about what’s going on, how to fix it, what we’re going to do going forward, and we know that. But when it involves your family, obviously, it crosses the line. That happened. And at this point, we just have to move on. We’re trying to win. That’s all we want to do is focus."

Just another reminder that while things aren't perfect, Patullo has handled it all correctly

Look, there have been multiple articles written about Patullo's performance as the offensive coordinator. It has not gone well this season with the offense ranked in the bottom 10 in total offense, passing, and rushing. This is already known.

What Patullo doesn't get enough credit for is the way he has handled criticism. Every time he is asked tough questions, he has tried to educate the reporters on what is going. He will break down a situation and cover it from start to finish.

Fans will never hear Patullo point the finger at another coach or player. He takes accountability for everything he has done with his play calling or game planning and owns it.

Since the incident, there has been a shift in how the media in Philadelphia has covered and talked about Patullo. More blame is being placed on Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts for the offense's recent struggles, which is fair.

Ultimately, many people within the Eagles should be blamed for what has gone on this season, but Patullo shouldn't be standing alone. Now, it's on everyone to answer for what is going on and how things will be fixed.
