It's been a good year so far.

The drama in Philadelphia with the Eagles would be enough to fit a soap opera, but this team has continued to perform well, with one of the best starts to the season by any team in the NFL.

CBS Sports writer Tyler Sullivan graded every NFL team at the midway point of the season. The Eagles had one of the highest grades of any team with an A-.

"For all the hemming and hawing surrounding the Eagles this season, they are still 6-2, in a strong position in the NFC East, and enter Week 10 as the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Yes, the passing attack has its warts, but the offense has committed just three turnovers this season (fewest in the NFL) and is the best red zone unit in the NFL with an 85% touchdown rate. Defensively, they had issues at outside corner and at edge rusher, but Howie Roseman did his best to address those concerns with deadline deals for corners Michael Carter II and Jaire Alexander, along with pass rusher Jaelan Phillips. They should still be considered the team to beat in the NFC."

Eagles look poised to make a run for another Super Bowl

Philly is getting hot at the right time as they exit their bye week with a 6-2 record and winners of the last two matchups against the Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants. Jalen Hurts has been hot during this time, with seven touchdowns scored in the previous two games.

After having one of the worst rushing offenses in the NFL, Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby have changed that tone after each rushing for over 100 yards in the Week 8 win over the New York Giants. Eagles offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo, for the first time, looked like he could handle the play-calling duties well.

Roseman helped out on defense with three new additions to support a struggling pass rush and improve the secondary. Phillips will start off the edge, while either Carter will be at nickel or Alexander will be on the outside.

This Eagles team is starting to heat up at the right time and needs to make sure they don't take their foot off the pedal. A Week 10 primetime showdown with the Green Bay Packers should help ignite the Super Bowl run even more.
