Eagles legend Brandon Graham looks to do the impossible on Super Bowl Sunday

Brandon Graham suffered a torn triceps in late November. Could he do the unthinkable and return from injury in just 1/3 of the expected recovery timetable?

With the win over the Washington Commanders behind them now, the Philadelphia Eagles now look ahead. There's a Super Bowl to play in just two weeks.

The Eagles will travel to New Orleans a little banged up -- Jalen Hurts, Kenneth Gainwell, Cam Jurgens, and a few others are expected to highlight Philly's injury report.

One notable defensive player for the Eagles has been out of action since late November. He's eying a return to action. His goal is to return for the big game. You won't believe this, but triceps seem to heal much more swiftly than they used to.

Brandon Graham is expected to be activated off the Eagles injured reserve (maybe).

Eagles veteran pass-rusher Brandon Graham, who has missed around two months with a torn triceps tendon, is expected to be activated off of injured reserve in hopes that he will return to play in Super Bowl LIX, according to Marcus Hayes of Philly Inquirer.

Head coach Nick Sirianni said immediately following the injury in November that Graham would be out for the season with B.G. himself saying, "As a player, I'm out for the year", but the Super Bowl appearance changes things drastically.

Graham played nine regular-season games this season. He recorded 3.5 sacks and posted a 78.6 PFF rating, 22nd best among all edge rushers in the NFL. He has hinted a possible return for Super Bowl LIX.

"We're going to see," the 15-year veteran said when asked after the game if he would be gearing up to play in two weeks time.

He also hinted towards his return to action this week. He did so on Philadelphia's 94 WIP-FM radio.

"Let's go win this week. That's all I'm focused on right now," Graham said, "And then, you know, we'll see something. ... We're not there yet. We gotta get this win."

A torn triceps injury is typically a sixth-month recovery timetable. Is Graham ahead of schedule and defying the medical odds?

It would be a massive boost for the Eagles if they could get B.G. back. That would give Philadelphia another edge rusher they can filter in alongside Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith. Both have stood out during Philadelphia's playoff run.
