Former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski remains stout on his criticism of Eagles franchise signal caller Jalen Hurts, which was immediately after Philadelphia's Week 14 debacle against the Los Angeles Chargers.
In the days after the loss to the Chargers in overtime, Jaworski continued to stand by those comments while on SportsRadio 94 WIP.
"I feel very strongly about my comments after the game. There were too many throws that were late. The quarterback position is about anticipation, throwing the football without access to the results. There are throws you have to make. You don't know what's going to be complete, incomplete, or maybe even a touchdown. You just don't know. So he doesn't make many of those throws."
Jaworski sticks to his guns on opinion with Hurts
Hurts' play has been significantly under scrutiny this week, coming ahead after what can be viewed as one of the worst performances from a quarterback in Eagles history. While offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo has received much of the criticism, which has been well-deserved, the spotlight is now on Hurts, as the Eagles, who had Super Bowl expectations, are 8-5 and looking like a one-and-done if they manage to stay in the playoff hunt.
Jaworski also isn't one to mince words on Hurts. Before the season, the former Eagles quarterback praised Hurts, saying he was the NFL's top quarterback. 13 games into the 2025 season, it appears he may have fallen out of the top 10, or even the top 15, with four games remaining.
While Jaworski has given Hurts plenty of praise throughout his tenure as the Eagles' franchise quarterback, the facts are the facts at this point. During the Eagles' three-game losing streak, Hurts has accounted for five interceptions and two fumbles as the team looks to right the ship.

Hopefully, with the Eagles taking on the Raiders this Sunday, Philadelphia's offense can take advantage of Las Vegas defense, which ranks 16th in the NFL.
