Nick Foles is a story unto himself. A third-round selection in the 2012 NFL Draft, he's etched himself into both Philadelphia Eagles and NFL lore, and he has done so while playing for six NFL teams yet only being phenomenal while playing for one of them.
Call us crazy, but we'll climb out on the limb and say what some of you are thinking. Had Nick played in Philly for the duration of his career, we might be talking about him having a Pro Football Hall of Fame argument.
In 2013, he was the NFL's leader in passer rating (119.2) after tossing 27 TDs and only two picks. He's the co-owner of two records (touchdown passes thrown in a game (7) and consecutive pass completions (25). Oh, and by the way, he owns the highest postseason completion percentage in NFL history (68.1%).
That last nugget is partially why he's a Philly sports legend.

A winding road eventually leads Nick Foles back to the City of Brotherly Love and the Philadelphia Eagles.
Nick Foles was shipped off by Chip Kelly in favor of Sammy 'Sleeves' a.k.a. Sam Bradford. He enjoyed a forgettable year in Saint Louis with the Rams and contemplated retirement after spending the 2016 NFL season with Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Howie Roseman cleansed us of Chip Kelly's sins by signing Foles to a two-year deal on March 13, 2017, and the rest, as they say, is history. Carson Wentz gets injured in Los Angeles vs. the same franchise Nick was traded to. There isn't a Birds fan breathing who doesn't know how that ended.
Foles led Philly to its first Vince Lombardi Trophy following a dream win over football's greatest dynasty ever. He earned Super Bowl MVP honors in the process.
No one will ever forget how electric Lincoln Financial Field was or where we were when the Birds blew out the Minnesota Vikings in the NFC Championship Game that preceded the win. Now. a fan favorite returns home to help lead us again.
Nick Foles is named honorary Eagles captain for the Eagles' clash with the Washington Commanders.
Guess who's coming home folks. He's a month late for Christmas, but 'Saint Nick' is certainly coming to town!
Yeah, we're going to be honest here. We've been nervous about this coming game with the Washington Commanders all week. That just settled it for us. Philly is winning this game, and they're doing so by double digits.
Did you hear what we said? 'Saint Nick' is coming to town as an honorary captain for our Birds, and he's doing so in the NFC Championship Game. Seth Joyner is right. The Commanders don't have a snowball's chance in hell of winning this game.
