Eagles news: Franchise legend revels in Cowboys misery, practice squad shuffling

We've said or printed this before. It bears repeating for emphasis. The Philadelphia Eagles have no City of Brotherly Love-style comp for that 'Once a Raider always a Raider thing'. Frankly we get it. We don't care what you say. Jason Babin wasn't one of us. Neither was that clown Orlando Scandrick.

Yes, we called him a clown. Deal with it...

In some cases, the 'Once an Eagle, always an Eagle' angle works. Brian Baldinger is okay with us. So is LeGarrette Blount. Every time we see Chris Long and Herman Edwards, we smile.

Then, there are guys whose ties that bind us are stronger. LeSean McCoy... Well, you know the rest.

It's been hours since LeSean McCoy was officially inducted into the Philadelphia Eagles Hall of Fame. We still have goosebumps. No, seriously, we haven't stopped smiling.

It was one of the highlights of a night that doubled as a stressful affair vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars. Seeing the New York Giants and Dallas Cowboys lose on the same afternoon was a welcomed sight as well.

Philly dismantled the G-Men in Week 7. Philly travels to Arlington this coming Sunday. Dallas is in a bit of a tailspin, and our guy Shady, fresh off his big night in Philly did us all proud with his take on the Cowboys tailspin.

Philly hasn't won a road game in this series since 2017. Let's put the paws on those dudes in Week 10.

Now, on to some housekeeping. The Birds made some changes to their practice squad on Monday. One enters. Another leaves. OL Braeden Daniels has been informed of his release. To fill his spot, Philly signs LB Dallas Gant.

An undrafted rookie free agent signing by the Minnesota Vikings, Gant was Quinyon Mitchell's teammate at Toledo. He was most recently released from the Vikes' scout team on October 29. He joins an LB room in Philly featuring some up and comers.
