Now, we're cooking! The new league year began on March 12 at 4 p.m. EST, and it has been relatively quiet in both the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys' organizations. We're used to that from the so-called 'America's Team'. They're usually handcuffed at this time of year because they've found a way to botch a few signings and rupture their list of options.
We can always count on some drama though. Usually, it involves a coach or one of their players feeling underappreciated.
This time around, new Seattle Seahawks addition DeMarcus Lawrence has turned his swords on the organization he called home for 11 NFL seasons.
Eagles news: Philly fans can thank DeMarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons for entertainment.
We're used to seeing delusional Cowboys fans tell us Dallas will win the Super Bowl every year. We even saw Dak Prescott tell us recently that his team is on equal footing with the now-defending Super Bowl champion Eagles.
What? Where do they get this stuff from?
Seeing anyone we've associated with the Cowboys state the obvious is rare. Truthfully, we see nothing wrong with DeMarcus Lawrence signing with the Seahawks and stating he'll never win a Super Bowl there.
"Dallas is my home... My family lives there, but I know for sure I'm not going to win a Super Bowl there." -DeMarcus Lawrence

Yep! No lies were told, but as you might imagine, this didn't play well in Cowboys country. Micah Parsons decided to take his shot at Lawrence on social media, and Lawrence was more than happy to oblige him,
This what rejection and envy look like! This some clown shit! 🤡 https://t.co/pTLAuuW2YH

Oh boy. Demarcus Lawrence and Micah Parsons are beefing online: pic.twitter.com/PobQLc5c2M

The only thing left was for Emmanuel Acho to get involved. You had to know he was throwing his two cents in didn't you.
.@EmmanuelAcho doesn’t hold back on the Micah Parsons & Demarcus Lawrence beef 😳

“Micah, just because you’re the best Cowboy, doesn’t mean you’re the only Cowboy…Demarcus Lawrence knows what he’s taking about, and sometimes the truth hurts.” pic.twitter.com/Lt6Cd5aboH
Typically, we have no interest in drama. Any involving that team in Texas, however, is always going to be welcomed around these parts. We just love seeing that franchise flounder and embarrass itself.
Must read: Eagles find Rick Lovato's replacement and add another name to the trade block
More Eagles news: Philly signs a specialist which probably closes the door on Britain Covey's era.
From drama to less-than-inspiring signings. The Eagles have added another. Avery Williams joins the Eagles as the latest guy who hasn't played football in a while.
Have the Eagles found Britain Covey's replacement? There's one problem though. Avery Williams hasn't played football in a long, long time... pic.twitter.com/2qUMhwcQfC

This is interesting though. His addition probably signals to us that Britain Covey's time in Philly is over. He wasn't retained once the new league year began and is now an unrestricted free agent.
Covey entered the 2024-25 season hoping to earn more snaps as a receiver. He suffered a season-ending injury, and now his football future is seemingly in limbo. We wish him luck though.
