Eagles news: A mostly-clean health bill, Jalen Hurts' fine, Jason Kelce's advice

It's been an outstanding few days. Here's a recap of some Eagles news if you have been busy.

And, just like that, another Philadelphia Eagles work week wraps. It's funny how this Friday feels so much different than the last. There's no drama to discuss. The Birds are riding high thanks to a franchise-record ten-game winning streak. The only weird thing we saw was head coach NIck Sirianni refusing to tell the local media when A.J. Brown's injury occurred.

We get that there's a desire to keep things close to the vest. We understand the strategy of maintaining a competitive advantage, but come on Coach. We already heard that, despite the injury, A.J. would play. Once that cat's out the bag, it's confusing why we'd be secretive about when he was injured.

Oh, well... If that's all we have to complain about, we'll take it. After all, it's hypocritical to say Nick Sirianni talks too much sometimes and then do an about face and say he hasn't said enough.

Eagles injury news: There are no major surprises on the injury report.

A knee injury kept Landon Dickerson from finishing the Week 15 game vs. the Pittsburgh Steelers. He appears to be set to go vs. the Washington Commanders on Sunday. Bryce Huff saw his 21-day practice window activated this week, but the wrist isn't quite ready yet. He hasn't been cleared medically.

He's out on Sunday. So is Britain Covey (neck). Sydney Brown is questionable (concussion). Other than that, the Birds have a mostly clean bill of health.

No surprises on that list. That's a good thing.

Eagles news: The NFL hypes Jalen Hurts and then fines him.

The 'No Fun League' strikes again. How about this? The NFL posted pictures all over social media of Jalen Hurts wearing mismatched Jordans during the pregame on Sunday. Then, the fined him for violating the uniform and equipment policy and deleted all of the posts.

We couldn't let this ride. We took our moment to be petty.

We all saw you post the pic guys. How are you going to hype our guy and then hit him for six stacks? We just thought we'd let you know deleting the post doesn't in any way trick us into thinking it was never posted.

Guess what though? Jordan Brand paid the fine.

That's a happy ending to a strange story. Heck, it made us smile. Let's hope one of the more talked about stories this season ends with a happy ending of its own!

Even more Eagles news: Jason Kelce says 'go for it'!

The 'Brotherly Shove is still deadly, but it hasn't seemed as overpowering since Jason Kelce retired. He knows a thing or two about 'going for it'. During a recent appearance on 94 WIP-FM's Morning Show, his advice for the Eagles and Saquon Barkley was to do the same.

"I really want them to try and make an effort to get this record... I think that, to me, obviously the Super Bowl is the pinnacle, the ultimately goal, but I think the rushing title record is the coolest record in the NFL and the fact that this offensive line, Jeff Stoutland and Saquon Barkley have a chance to obtain that is pretty remarkable."

He continued... "I think it would just be really awesome for Philadelphia to have that record... Listen, I think this is probably the week, don't want to give up game plan, I don't know what they're going to do, but if you really dedicate to trying to get him a big day this week that can lighten the load for the next two games."

Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing record is 2,105 yards. Saquon Barkley needs to average 139.3 rushing yards per game to break that.

That's doable. We'll see what happens. We'll certainly be pulling for him, but we agree with the G.O.A.T.! We'd like to see Saquon do it and do it vs. the New York Giants.
