Eagles set franchise record with Week 15 win vs. visiting Steelers
We witnessed what we expected. The Pittsburgh Steelers are one of the most physical teams on Planet Earth. The Philadelphia Eagles are a slightly better team. The home team left this one with the win, but it wasn't always easy.
Guys limped off the field and back onto the playing surface. Landon Dickerson walked off and wouldn't return. We've started a prayer circle in hopes that he'll be okay.
Following a tough week, the passing attack was CRISP, and honestly, we aren't shocked by that. Jalen Hurts stacked more passing yards vs. the Steelers (290) than he had collected over the past two weeks combined (226).
Philly survives another huge test and improves to 12-2 on the regular season. They also set a new benchmark in the process.
Ten consecutive Eagles wins sets a new franchise record!
Perhaps you have heard... Since the Eagles walked out of Tampa and into an early bye week on their schedule, they have racked up ten consecutive wins. That sets a brand-spanking-new franchise record.
The Birds held the mighty AFC North-leading Steelers to a 17-point total and, in the process, have gained some ground on the Detroit Lions. They lost to the Buffalo Bills during a home game.
This has been a season of conquered jinxes. Philly won in Cincinnati vs. the Bengals for the first time in franchise history. They also put one in the win column vs. the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington. That hadn't happened since 2017. The game also doubled as Saquon Barkley's first win vs. the Cowboys.
This time around, they beat Russell Wilson for the first time in seven tries. Mike Tomlin has yet to beat the Birds in Philly during his great career.
Washington survived the New Orleans Saints, so a possible NFC East division title must wait until next week. This has been a good weekend overall though. Philly answers a lot of questions. They improve to 12-2 on the season.
