By now, you've enjoyed those victory laps at work after our Philadelphia Eagles won another Vince Lombardi Trophy. How is that going? Are coworkers treating you any differently?
We'd like to take this opportunity to say we're proud of you all. Everything we've been seeing suggests you all have handled the win with more dignity than the Kansas City Chiefs did when they beat ou squad in Super Bowl LVII.
Yeah, we said it! Sue us. It needed to be said. The Chiefs and their fans lost their minds after that holding call.
Okay, we finally got that off of our chests, so okay, where were we? How about a couple of newsworthy nuggets you may have missed at the conclusion of another busy work week?
Eagles news: Who knew? Nolan Smith left Super Bow 59 with a triceps injury.
For the record (and, we'll keep saying this), we have ALWAYS believed in Nolan Smith. Some were worried about what they perceived to be a slow start. We always knew all he needed was coaching and a few reps to get his legs under him.
We've got some bad news though. One of Philly's best pass rushers down the stretch played through Super Bowl LIX with a torn triceps. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport shared a report that he had surgery, but there's great news here.
He should be ready for the start of the 2025 Eagles season.
#Eagles pass-rusher Nolan Smith tore his triceps in the Super Bowl LIX win over the #Chiefs — and played through it in the second half, per me and @MikeGarafolo.

From one key cog of Philly's defense to another, let's discuss the latest on defensive backs coach Christian Parker.
More Eagles news: Christian Parker is staying home.
It seemed as though former Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore was planning a raid of Philly's coaching cupboard. After accepting the head coaching job of the New Orleans Saints, he immediately interviewed three of the Birds' assistant coaches: RB coach Jemal Singleton, QBs coach Doug Nussmeier and defensive backs coach Christian Parker.
Moore would settle on stealing QB coach Doug Nussmeier and asst. offensive line coach and run game specialist T.J. Paganetti. They'll serve as two of Kellen's top assistants. Christian Parker's fate has also been decided. He will stay home and remain as Philly's DBs coach.
After the smoke cleared and the dust settled, Moore hired Brandon Staley to be his defensive coordinator instead according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Saints are hiring former Chargers head coach and 49ers assistant Brandon Staley as their defensive coordinator, per me and @JFowlerESPN. Saints HC Kellen Moore and Staley worked together with the Chargers, and now will do the same for the Saints. pic.twitter.com/ITEsTRk3JF

This is music to our ears. We love what Parker did with the Eagles secondary. One of the more notable accomplishments was helping two rookies become finalists for AP Defensive Rookie of the Year Award.
Darius Slay enjoyed one of the best seasons of his career. C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Reed Blankenship were solid contributors.
Yeah... As far as we're concerned, Parker can hang out here for as long as he wants. We love the work he is doing.
