Well, this had to be expected. Football is the greatest game Planet Earth has to offer. It's an emotional one that will forever be built on relationships. Just look at our current and former Philadelphia Eagles for evidence.

Kellen Moore, just days after helping Philly win its second Vince Lombardi Trophy, was introduced as the New Orleans Saints head coach. That surprised no one. It also came as no surprise that he thanked the Birds for his opportunity and advised everyone he'd attend Philly's victory parade.

We had heard he'd been assembling a coaching staff since there were rumors he'd return to the Dallas Cowboys. It appears that staff still needs assembly.

Per reports, he's still searching for an offensive and defensive coordinator. He may be looking to his last coaching stop to find him.

Eagles assistants Doug Nussmeier and Christian Parker will interview for coordinator roles with the New Orleans Saints.

Doug Nussmeier joined Philly during the 2024 offseason to serve as Jalen Hurts' quarterbacks coach. Christian Parker also joined the nest as the team's defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator/during the most recent offseason.

They will interview with Kellen Moore and the New Orleans Saints for the offensive and defensive coordinator positions. Per ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, Eagles assistant head coach and RB coach Jemal Singleton also interviewed for the Saints offensive coordinator job

Nussmeier assisted in the further development of Jalen Hurts and helped both Kenny Pickett and Tanner McKee stay prepared in the event they'd be needed. Pickett won his lone start vs. the Dallas Cowboys. McKee won his first career start in the season finale vs. the New York Giants.

Philly's secondary also played well under Coach Parker. Among other things, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean were both named finalists as Defensive Rookie of the Year.

While we hope Philly doesn't lose them, we'd understand them leaving the nest to pursue an opportunity for advancement. We'll keep an eye on this too see what happens.
