The Philadelphia Eagles may be one of the NFL's worst teams at the moment, but they are certainly staying in the headlines.
Entering Week 7 with a 2-4 record, the Eagles have dominated NFL headlines. Jalen Hurts injury updates have drawn plenty of attention, but their recent struggles have everyone talking, too.
What's going on with the Eagles right now? Here are the biggest headlines about the team that fans should know.

NFLPA calls for full investigation after league ruled Eagles won't be punished for Jalen Hurts injury
The Athletic reported that the NFL would not punish the Eagles for how they handled Jalen Hurts. This came after Hurts was ruled out for the season when his blood clot from the calf injury traveled to his lungs. The good news is that Hurts is expected to recover fully.
Another twist came late Tuesday night, when the NFLPA released a statement. They were not satisfied with the league's ruling and are calling for a full investigation.
“The NFLPA is not aware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts. In fact, the league previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care he received. Before conclusions are drawn about how this situation was handled, there must be a full investigation into what occurred. Determining the facts is essential to ensuring players receive the highest level of care and protection going forward.”
Michael Robinson apologizes for his Jalen Hurts comments
After the news broke that Hurts was ruled out for the season, NFL analyst Michael Robinson finally apologized for his comments last week, saying he thought the Eagles quarterback might have faked the blood clot to avoid playing in 2026. Robinson took to social media to apologize.
“I want to sincerely apologize to Jalen Hurts, his family, the Philadelphia Eagles organization and fan base for my comments last Thursday. They were unfounded and I never should’ve speculated on a health issue of a player nor his commitment to his team.”
The apology was met with overwhelming negativity, with many believing he needed to say it on television and not on social media. Big names like Terrell Owens called Robinson out for it.
Eagles go through major shakeup in running back room
Shifting the focus back to on the field, the Eagles made some major changes to the running back room. Carson Steele was placed on IR after getting injured in the team's Week 6 loss to the Carolina Panthers.
That move brought a ton of changes. The Eagles released Ian Wheeler and waived Jaydon Blue. They brought back running back Elijah Mitchell, who was with the team in training camp. Philly also released center James Brockermeyer.

This could be the team's first steps in making room for Saquon Barkley to return to the lineup after missing the last two games with a hamstring injury. It would be a major boost for the Eagles' offense, which desperately needs it.
Hollywood Brown is now a trade candidate for the Eagles
NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Eagles wide receiver Marquise "Hollywood" Brown is a trade candidate to watch out for before the deadline. Brown has rushed only twice for 12 yards and has not caught a pass. He has missed most of the season due to either injury or a healthy scratch.

This message likely came from Brown's agent, pushing for a trade from Philly. The Eagles probably wouldn't mind moving on from him, since he hasn't really done much for the team this season.
