Eagles news: Rumored A.J. Brown frustration, Kudos for Philly's secret weapon
Before another word is uttered or typed, we'll say this. A.J. Brown is him. Do people still say that? Well, whether they do or don't, here's the point. You'll never hear a complaint on this platform because Batman wants the ball.
Trust us on that!
Now, that being said, we've seen discussions here and there. How might he react to a dip in production when he isn't getting the ball as much?
You know what they say. All is fine when the team is winning, but it's fair to wonder if '11' is tripping because the ball doesn't come his way as often.
Eagles news: A.J. Brown deletes a tweet.
Now, as stated we're A.J. Brown fans, but that doesn't mean he's off-limits. We were going to ignore this, but this made it to radio. So, here we are.
A.J. is no stranger to quoting tweets, using social media as a soundboard, or deleting posts after thinking better of them.
Long story short, an Eagles fan reached out and stated, among other things, that he needs Philly's star wideout to be a 'demon' like we had seen in the past. A.J. quoted that post and added a line, stating basically 'there was only so much he could do'.
We're paraphrasing.
Again, this is one of those things that can be blown out of proportion, but it seems as though it's worth a mention because there have been rumors and questions asked about potential frustration.
Here's where we stand. A.J. never stopped being that 'demon'. We don't like the word choice, but you get what we're saying. He's a beast, but this season, the Eagles are currently averaging the fewest passing attempts per game (25.6).
No team has run the ball more. No other team has a higher rushing-yards-per-game average (189). Naturally, that affects A.J.'s production, but again, this isn't to nitpick.
Frankly, we want one of our best wide receivers to want the ball. Hey, maybe that would end the slow offensive starts if he was targeted early and often.

More Eagles news: Kudos for Braden Mann
We haven't discussed how good Braden Mann was in the win over the Baltimore Ravens enough. He's really good.
Hell, we all know well what a bad punter looks like. Mann has been a welcomed addition and a revelation.
On Sunday, he helped Philly flip field position on a few occasions. He launched six punts. He averaged 51.2 yards per boot. He dropped five inside the 20 and probably would have dropped all six inside the Ravens' 20-yard line had it not been for a Kelee Ringo penalty.
For his efforts, he was named the NFC's Special Teams Player of the Week for his Week 13 performance.
One of our worst memories of the Nick Sirianni coaching era involved a punt during a Super Bowl. Yeah, you remember the one. We repeat. Braden Mann has been a welcomed addition and a revelation.
