Eagles news: Saquon Barkley's adoration, Gardner-Johnson's league-wide disfavor

Often, because we're movie buffs, we try to imagine ways to incorporate some of cinema's most memorable lines into a story about the Philadelphia Eagles. It almost never works, but today we've figured out how to do it (even if we're stretching).

"Fear lasts longer than love". Remember that? Credit A Bronx Tale for that. Now, the accuracy of that statement can be tested, but here's why we bring it up.

Two Birds sit on opposite sides of the same fence. Saquon Barkley continues to feel the love while C.J. Gardner-Johnson found himself named during an anonymous poll of NFL stars.

This probably won't surprise anyone. The love shown to Saquon Barkley continues. His march through November began with a reverse hurdle that found its way into EA's Madden NFL game. It ended with him breaking two 70-yard TD runs during a primetime game vs. the Los Angeles Rams.

For his efforts, he has unsurprisingly been named NFC Offensive Player of the Month. LeBron James certainly wasn't shocked. Neither were we.

We could have written this story a month ago. Saquon's march to a possible MVP trophy continues. One of his teammates, C.J. Gardner-Johnson, earned a mention of a different sort.
