Nick Sirianni and Dallas Goedert are worthy of a couple of headlines this morning.

There's never a shortage of conversational topics regarding the Philadelphia Eagles. That's what happens when you're home to a passionate fan base and are one of sports' biggest brands. Winning always helps the cause too. Then again, some would probably state there is just as much to talk about when Philly loses, if not more so.

Three topics that never grow old... Nick Sirianni... A.J. Brown... The criminally underutilized Dallas Goedert... All roads intersect here for this one.

Eagles news: Nick Sirianni weighs in on A.J. Brown's love of reading.

So, here we go again. By now, you have all heard... A camera again caught A.J. Brown on the sideline. He was reading a book, Inner Excellence. As you'd expect, the world has again gone bananas.

As is customary, Nick Sirianni made his weekly appearance on 94 WIP-FM's Morning Show on Tuesday. And, as always, he stood up for one of his own.

"I'm definitely OK with it. The crazy thing is, he's been reading this book on the sideline for a long time. It just so happened a camera saw it this week." Those were Coach Sirianni's words to DeCamara and Jon Ritchie. "Some guys pray in between, some guys mediate in between. A.J. reads in between. Whatever these guys need to do to put their mind in a place where they can play with great detail and great effort, I fully encourage them to do that."

He continued... "I love A.J. He's such a great teammate... We don't do any research and we jump to a conclusion of, 'Oh he must be disgruntled.' That to me is lazy. Everyone needs to figure out why he's doing it before they jump to judgment on the man. Because the man, A.J. Brown is a great, great, great person. The man A.J. Brown is the best receiver—and I'll say it without hesitation—the best receiver that this city has ever seen..."

We agree Coach. Respectfully, to those of you who may not. We'll add more perspective. A.J. has been forthright in stating he has dealt with the challenges of managing his mental health before, so if this brings him peace, by all means, READ ON THE SIDELINE.

The NFL is a stressful place, and most of us don't have to suit up for games. It hasn't been a team issue before now and shouldn't be after the FOX broadcast.

More Eagles news: Dallas Goedert wins the Angry Runs Scepter again.

Here's a reason to smile. You watch Good Morning Football on NFL Network, right? We know... We know... The better question is 'Who doesn't?'.

One of the great segments is seeing Kyle Brandt hand out the 'Angry Runs Scepter'. Guess who took it home after Wild Card Weekend.

By our count, this is the second time Dallas Goedert has been crowned for this particular honor. Here's a shot of him on the sideline admiring his work.

Philly faces the Los Angeles Rams in the Divisional Round of the NFL Playoffs. Let's hope Dallas saved a few stiff arms for that one.
