On Thursday, the Philadelphia Eagles nominated Brandon Graham for the 2024 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. The most prestigious honor couldn't have gone to a better man.
This is the second nomination Graham has received in the last three years from the organization, and it is one that is well deserved.
Brandon Graham is a Philadelphia legend on and off the field.
As the longest-tenured athlete in Philadelphia sports, Brandon Graham's success has been off the charts. In 206 games, he's set multiple franchise records. This season, he climbed to third all-time in Eagles history with 76.5 sacks.
Sadly, his season ended due to a triceps injury on that same night, but his work is not done.
In Philadelphia, Graham participates in the Eagles Autism Foundation. He's also on the Board of Directors for the Ed Snider Youth Hockey & Education. He has volunteered at Make-A-Wish, Ronald McDonald House, March of Dimes, American Heart Association, and Liberty USO in his spare time.
B.G. also offers his time back in his hometown of Detroit. With his wife, Carlyne, the Graham's started the Team Graham Fund. The Fund provides mentoring and food and clothing donations.
Graham was also nominated in 2022. Dallas Cowboy quarterback Dak Prescott took the award that season.
