Hopefully, the week flies by. This feeling in our stomachs is excruciatingly painful (and gleeful). The Philadelphia Eagles drove us crazy in the Divisional Round, but they survived. That's why we're here. There's a game to play, and who cares how our guys qualified?
You know the saying. They can't win it (the NFC Championship Game in this case) unless they're in it... And, they are.
During the final stages of the 2024-25 regular season, Philly lost their opportunity to win home-field advantage throughout the NFC Playoffs when the Minnesota Vikings won vs. the Green Bay Packers in Week 17. Fate has shone brightly on our Birds though.
The hated Washington Commanders walked into Ford Field and won, so the NFCCG will be played at Lincoln Financial Field. One more win, and the Birds reach the Super Bowl
The Eagles now have the best odds to win Super Bowl LIX.
We've never really believed in jinxes. We realize some of you do, and we respect that. Those of you who do though may want to look away. The odds makers have updated their Super Bowl odds, and Philly is sitting pretty.
First things first. Though we're enjoying this run, we have to take all of this with a 'one step at a time' mantra. None of this matters if the Birds don't take care of business vs. a team we truly believe they are better than.
The Commanders are a worthy opponent though Seth Joyner says they have no chance at winning. If that's a jinx, we apologize, but we agree with the Eagles Hall of Famer.
Philly, if they can put it all together, are still the best team in this field. That doesn't guarantee them anything. They still have to earn it, but we're excited about the chances. Fingers are crossed for a happy ending to what's already been a very special season.
