Certain things that are true about the Philadelphia Eagle and the City of Brotherly Love will be true about both forever. We've heard stars play in the city and say they understand the Philly sports fan just wants maximum effort from his or her favorite players.
Do you see what we mean? It doesn't matter how many times we hear players say that. It's music to our ears every time, and if there are mentions that Philly's citizens are hardworking and deserve the best, the person mentioning that may find their way into the hearts of this town forever.
That's why we love Brian Dawkins. That's why we love Jason Kelce. It's one of many reasons we continue to fall in love with Jalen Hurts.

Eagles QB Jalen Hurts accepts the Philadelphia Citizen of the Year Award.
The Philadelphia Citizen of the Year Award was birthed last year setting the stage for its second annual ceremony in 2025. The winner this time around is Super Bowl MVP Jalen Hurts. What can we say? It's a well deserved honor.
QB1 expressed his appreciation at the awards dinner.
“The city of Philadelphia has been great to me. I’ve given it my heart and my soul daily. This holds a special place in my heart. That pursuit to uplift those around us and create opportunities continues.”

FS Investments, Jennifer Rice, and Michael Forman presented the award on Tuesday, February 25 at Philadelphia's Fitler Club Ballroom. According to its website, the honor is designed to "inspire citizenship, elevate those who embody The Citizen’s mission of solutions-focused action, and activate Philadelphians to make change."
It also goes on to state the following: "Our annual Citizen of the Year program, launched in 2024, is about more than celebrating do-gooders. It is about building a network of changemakers within Philadelphia, and positioning them as role models for the next generation.
This is just another honor in what's becoming a special career for Eagles star Jalen Hurts. You may have heard. He's fresh off a Super Bowl win with his Eagles teammates.
QB1 has also gotten back to work as clips of him throwing the football again are beginning to make their way around social channels, but until it's time to see the Birds take the field again, it's nice to see Jalen enjoy himself a little.
He has a nice smile. Hopefully, he'll wear it more often.
