"It was really cool one last year being an Eagles fan."

If you visit our platform frequently (thank you), you are well aware we've had some fun from time to time at Micah Parson's expense. Long story short, he mentions the Philadelphia Eagles and what they're doing often, and we believe he does so because, deep down, he wishes he was on this roster.

We've never asked him about that to verify if we're correct. Frankly, we don't think he'd say we were right if we were because he has already thrown cold water on our theory. He's a star playing for the rival Dallas Cowboys, but he's also from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and a former NCAA standout with the Penn State Nittany Lions.

You do the math.

Anyway, here's some honesty on our end. Though it pains us to say this about a Cowboy, we pick on Micah because he's a baller. Guys like him don't come around often, but he might have a clone in the coming 2025 NFL Draft.

Abdul Carter, a lifelong Eagles fan, is the best defender in the 2025 NFL Draft, but there's no way he's landing in Philly.

Sometimes, we unfairly compare draftees to current NFL stars which creates unnecessary pressure on a prospect who hasn't proven anything yet at the professional level. We have to break our own rules against doing so though. Besides, something tells us Abdul Carter can handle the pressure.

Like Parsons, Carter is a former Penn State star. Both wore the number 11 jersey. Both were All-Americans and former First-Team All Big Ten mentions. Abdul is a Philadelphia native, and, like Micah, he grew up an Eagles fan.

The latter is the most recent Nittany Lion to wear the famed number 11 jersey, and Abdul recently enjoyed seeing the Birds win Super Bowl LIX with his father on February 9.

Carter's time as a Birds fan may have ended because there's no way he'll fall 32 spots to Philly when the Eagles make the final draft choice of Round 1. Here's what we can promise you though.

He's up next. The NFL has another star, and yes, we see Parsons, Jalen Carter, and Jared Verse levels of immediate productivity.
