Eagles radio host just slammed Nick Sirianni while scapegoating Kevin Patullo

Mixed emotions on this one...

After seeing the Chicago Bears take down the Philadelphia Eagles on Black Friday, this fan base and media, alike, erupted in a well-justified fashion. Things aren't going the way they should be, and it's taken far too long to make necessary changes that the team continues to put off.

One Philly radio host, Ray Didinger of 94WIP, wants to place the blame squarely on head coach Nick Sirianni's shoulders rather than it falling mostly on offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo.

"I hold Sirianni more responsible because...Patullo may be making the calls, but Sirianni has allowed it to get to this point. And here we are, you know, 12 games into the season and you still haven't answered the questions we've been asking in week one," he said.

Nick Sirianni has to start making changes before Howie Roseman takes drastic measures

While Didinger's take does make sense, to an extent, it invokes a lot of different emotions. First off, there is no denying how bad Patullo has been. We're this far into the season, and it is quite literally his job to call plays that put the Eagles in the best position to win ball games.

We've come this far and Patullo still hasn't managed to change what he's doing.

So, we can get angry at Patullo, sure.

But, we can also share Didinger's sentiments. This is all happening under Sirianni's watch. He can continue to act like everything is fine and stick with Patullo. But that might also put his own job in danger.

We've reached the point where Sirianni will have to make some difficult decisions. Does that mean firing Patullo? Does it mean taking over play-calling, as Dan Campbell had to do in Detroit?

Those are valid questions, and Sirianni has to be prepared to answer them -- not only answer them, but act on them.

If Sirianni doesn't make a change, soon, then it'll be up to Howie Roseman to start acting instead. I don't think anyone would necessarily believe Sirianni should be on the hot seat, but if he doesn't start making changes, then who knows what might happen. Roseman cannot stand for this incompetence.

Does Roseman ultimately pull the plug on Patullo if Sirianni isn't willing to make the tough call? Does it happen during the season, or does Roseman wait for the Eagles to fall flat down the stretch?

There are, indeed, so many questions. In the end, Roseman will have to answer them if no one else does. And, it could get ugly.

It would be in Sirianni's best interest to start making changes now, of course. Eagles fans don't want to wait until the worst-case scenario pans out as it did a couple of years ago under Brian Johnson.

It's time for changes. No more waiting. Didinger is right in his thinking.
