The Philadelphia Eagles proved a ton of doubters wrong this season, as the right arm of Jalen Hurts and the coaching acumen of Nick Sirianni helped them stomp the Kansas City Chiefs 40-22 in a game that once saw Philly take a 34-0 advantage Patrick Mahomes was unable to climb out of.
While the Eagles will take as much time as possible to savor this win, Howie Roseman and the front office have likely moved on to NFL Draft preperations. This roster may be as deep as any in the league, but that won't stop Roseman from pulling a few more rabbits out of his hat when the 2025 NFL Draft comes around.
If the Eagles follow the plan laid out in this 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft, they should have no trouble defending their Super Bowl title. Not only would the Eagles replenish their defense with even more young talent, but they would find great value for a team picking No. 32 overall.
Philadelphia Eagles 3-round 2025 NFL Mock Draft
Round 1, Pick 32: Nic Scourton, EDGE, Texas A&M
While teammate Shemar Stewart has started to pass him on draft boards due to his superior physical tools, Scourton is still worthy of a first-round pick after establishing himself as one of this crop's preeminent pass rushers and best run-stuffing down linemen.
With Bryce Huff playing so badly that he could be cut after one season, Josh Sweat a free agent, and Brandon Graham's retirement, it seems likely that Philly will use one of their top picks on a defensive end. In terms of being pro-ready, there may be few better in this class than Scourton.
Round 2, Pick 64: Kevin Winston Jr, SAF, Penn State
While the Eagles have a strong safety duo of CJ Gardner Johnson and Reed Blankenship, this may be the position on the defense that has the least amount of star power. Diving into the local product pool for this pick, Winston could be an eventual starter alongside Cooper DeJean and Quinyon Mitchell.
A 6-2 safety who has the speed to cover ground and can lay some thunderous hits on tacklers, Winston could be an immediate contributor to the Eagles defense if he can convince everyone that he is capable of fixing some tackling in space issues that popped up on film.
Round 3, Pick 96: Smael Moldon, LB, Georgia
The Eagles have had quote a lot of success taking players from Georgia, as the success of Jordan Davis and Jalen Carter make them just two of many former Bulldogs Howie Roseman has taken an interest in. With Zack Baun about to get a huge contract in free agency, and Nakobe Dean hurt, Moldon may see some snaps as a rookie.
Moldon can play very out of control every now and again, but he is a fantastic athlete with years of experience and production in a system that has produced many high-level pro defenders. As far as developmental linebackers go, Molden should be the best of the bunch this year.
