We've figured it out. There are two guys named Josh Sweat, and they're both on the Philadelphia Eagles roster. How else do we explain the up-and-down nature of his game?
Take the 2023-24 season for instance. One minute, he's corralling Dak Prescott to preserve a home victory (or snagging a pick six off his arm in Arlington). The next, he's held sackless for an eight-game stretch and barely cracking the stat sheet.
The Jekyll- and-Hyde nature of Sweaty's game has been a conversation piece for a while, but if we've seen his final game in an Eagles jersey, he certainly left us with something to remember him by.
He tallied 2.5 sacks in Super Bowl LIX and damn near one the game's MVP trophy in the process. Then Jalen Hurts went deep to DeVonta Smith to deliver the dagger and pretty much took it from him.
That's okay. Sweat's legacy is written in stone. In what will probably be his final game in midnight green, he played at his best on the biggest stage when his best was needed, but the obvious question comes next.
Where will he be playing his football now?

Eagles rumors: NFC East rival among three teams named as possible landing spots for Josh Sweat
No one knows whether Josh Sweat will remain with the Eagles. Most believe he won't. We agree with that latter theory.
NFL rumors names three teams as possible suitors though they don't state where the rumor originated.

The Commanders theory doesn't shock us. Washington will certainly be on the hunt for pass rushers, and they have a ton of money to spend.
We've seen former Birds land there before. Last year's roster was home to Olamide Zaccheaus, Marcus Mariota, and Eagles legend Zach Ertz. We'll see what happens at the start of the new league year on March 12.
NFL rumors: Might Aaron Rodgers leave the Jets and join the crosstown Giants?
Well, we've seen enough. The NY Jets are where careers go to die. We have now seen Brett Favre, Michael Vick, and Aaron Rodgers fail following decisions to join the organization.
Sam Darnold was drafted to play there. He left the organization and got better. Robert Saleh, a defensive guru, left the San Francisco 49ers to join the Jets, and he forgot how to coach.
We won't even bring Mekhi Becton's story up. We won't do that to you Jets fans. By the way, we want the name 'Gang Green' back. That belongs to us.
Anyway, we digress. This was supposed to be about Aaron Rodgers. Have you heard? He's rumored to possibly continue his Hall-of-Fame career by traveling across Gotham to join the New York Giants.

We'll keep it 100 here. At the risk of sounding disrespectful, we have no fear of Aaron Rodgers in BIg Blue's jersey. They're becoming another version of the Jets. Just look at how they wasted so many of Saquon Barkley's years.
More NFL news: Add Deebo Samuel's name to the Washington Commanders' shopping list
We'll leave you with this. Deebo Samuel could be on the move. Jordan Schultz reports the Commanders and Houston Texans could be among the interested parties.
Sources: The #Commanders and #Texans have had significant interest in trading for #49ers WR Deebo Samuel, with talks progressing in recent days, sources tell @NFLonFOX.

Other teams, including the Steelers and Broncos, have also checked in, but Houston and Washington are… pic.twitter.com/JJihz1Soj6
As we stated with Sweaty, we wouldn't rule anything out as far as the Commanders are concerned. Again, they'll have plenty of money to spend with free agency begins.
That's gotten them in trouble before, but that was the Daniel Snyder era. This already looks like a better run team under the new regime belonging to Josh Harris.
