If Philadelphia Eagles fans listened carefully to the audio on their televisions, they might have heard nearly 70,000 sighs of relief from the stands after their 31-0 shutout win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 15.

It was about as dominant a win as the Eagles have had in a long time, allowing just 75 yards and seeing their star quarterback, Jalen Hurts, rip apart the Raiders' defense for three touchdowns in the win. That win helped the Birds snap a three-game losing skid to put them at 9-5 on the season, and just one win away from the NFC East title.

Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni made his weekly appearance on SportsRadio 94 WIP in Philadelphia, where he was asked about his feelings after winning the game. The first thought from the hosts was that Sirianni would feel relief to end the losing streak, but the head football coach felt something different.

"No I don't think of it that way. I felt joy. You put in so much work every time you step on that field, the players, the coaches, everybody puts so much into it. You feel joy when you have that success and get a win. I felt joy about how we played Eagles football. With our tough details and together. It was joy, no relief there. I'm confident in what this team and these players and these coaches can do."

Eagles rolling strong going into the final three games of the season

The confidence and swagger are back on the Eagles after being missing for the last three games. Particularly on offense, where they needed help most, it appears offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo found the right balance of what works best for the team, with more runs than passes to get the job done.

With everything set in place for the Eagles, the team now faces an interesting final three games of the year with two matchups against the Washington Commanders and one showdown against the Buffalo Bills. The Commanders will be without quarterback Jayden Daniels, but the Bills still have 2024 NFL MVP Josh Allen on the other side of the field.

Philly should be able to find a win against the Commanders, but everyone is going to want them to take care of business against the Bills to prove they are for real against another playoff team. The Eagles need a strong finish to the year to carry momentum into what is shaping up to be a very tough NFC playoffs.
