It's called the 'last word' for a reason. To some of us, it's gratifying to earn it. The feeling of doing so can only be paralleled by announcing 'Check Mate' during a game of chess. As we age, however, getting the last word isn't as important as it was when we were younger.

What can we say though? Sometimes, you have to let people know that they can't try you or 'test your gangster'.

This leads us to one of our favorite Philadelphia Eagles, superstar wide receiver A.J. Brown. Mr. 'Always Open' was a team captain this season. He notched 67 receptions, 1,079 yards receiving, and seven receiving touchdowns. What's amazing about that was we were told this was supposed to be an off-year.

The Birds capped their victory parade with a ceremony at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. You guessed it. A.J. Brown was asked to be one of the speakers. While he didn't quite capture the emotion of Jason Kelce seven years ago, he still offered his mic-drop moment, one that will live in infamy.

A.J. Brown puts his detractors on notice as the Eagles place an exclamation point on the end of a magical run and season.

Though everyone involved with the parade did a great job, some moments will live in our hearts forever. Vice president/general manager Howie Roseman took a beer can to the head, shook it off, and informed everyone, with a gash on his forehead, that he "bleeds for this city". Today's MVPs, however, are Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Eagles captain Arthur Juan Brown.

The former stepped in front of a microphone and announced that the Eagles had taken over, that his Birds, not the Dallas Cowboys, were now America's Team. A.J. Brown too had his moment, the last word if you will, He had the last laugh as he delivered a message to the haters who have heckled and berated him all season.

Parental advisory... This one features some strong language.

While we probably would have used some family-friendly language, we don't have an issue with that. Oh, and here's a stat for you. The score is as follows. A.J. Brown gets 100 points for that one. The detractors and media that always try to twist what this guy says get a goose egg.

That friends is how you layeth the smackdown and get the last say. Again, we reiterate. Sometimes, you have to let people know they can't try you or play games with you!
