Eagles star Landon Dickerson is brilliant, dominant, and everyone is noticing

Landon Dickerson was the Eagles' highest-graded player from the NFL's Divisional Round, but that's only half the story.

We're almost embarrassed to say this now, but we don't believe we're alone. Once upon a time, we weren't certain if the Philadelphia Eagles' decision to select Landon Dickerson in the 2021 NFL Draft was wise.

Yeah... We know! We know!

Our concern had nothing to do with Landon's talent. We knew he could ball, but he was also coming off of an injury, one that forced him to sit out of the previous College Football Playoff National Championship Game.

You remember the one. Landon could only watch as his Alabama Crimson Tide teammates balled out en route to a 52-24 victory over the Ohio State Buckeyes. Thankfully, Heisman Trophy winner DeVonta Smith was also on that team.

Smitty racked up 12 receptions, 215 yards receiving, and three TDs in the game, but every time the camera panned over to Dickerson, he was standing on the sideline with his helmet off.

Fast forward to the present, and we have no concerns about Landon's game now. He's made each of the past three Pro Bowl rosters, and we haven't figured out why he hasn't been named as an All-Pro yet. Just ask Pro Football Focus. They've been giving him passing grades for a few years now.

Landon Dickerson continues his brilliance and dominance, and everyone is noticing.

For the eighth time during Jeffrey Lurie's era as owner. the Eagles have reached the NFC Championship Game. Philly's Divisional Round win over the Los Angeles Rams was wild.

Their highest-graded player from that game was left guard Landon Dickerson (94.0).
He finished just ahead of Jalen Carter who notched a 90.3 overall grade.

Landon's 91.7 run block grade ranked first among all guards playing in the Divisional Round. He played 63 offensive snaps on Sunday, 32 in pass protection and 31 on running downs.

On March 11, 2024, he signed a four-year, $84 million extension making him an unrestricted free agent in 2029. He's worth every penny. We can reconfirm that the Eagles' decision to select him was correct. We have no issue in stating that.

We can also confirm we are witnessing one of the great careers this franchise has seen. It's just getting started. It's early, but he already looks like a legend in the making.
