That look....

Everyone knows there might not be a more competitive player in the NFL than Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts. His will to win a game has never, and should never be questioned.

In the loss to the Denver Broncos in Week 5, when he released the ball for the Hail Mary on the last play of the game, Hurts ran all the way down the end zone to try to help and catch the ball. How many quarterbacks are doing that?

That same kind of drive and determination was shown in an all-important Week 7 showdown with the Minnesota Vikings. The Eagles had a 14-9 lead going into their first offensive drive of the second half. It was in that moment that Hurts' teammates knew something was different with Hurts.

It was a look he gave that changed everything about that game.

"You can tell, when he really sees it, he gets this look," Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith said after the game, via PHLY's EJ Smith. "It's like, 'Oh yeah, this is on right here.'"

"When he's in control, you see this look in his eye," Eagles left tackle Jordan Mailata said. "Locked in. Like dialed in."

That's all Hurts needed to take over the Vikings game

The second play of that first second-half drive, Hurts found DeVonta Smith on a deep ball 79-yard touchdown pass to make it 21-9 Eagles lead. Everyone knew that Hurts was in the zone.

Even on the next drive, Hurts found Smith on back-to-back passes for 47 yards to put them in field goal range. Jake Elliott, unfortunately, missed a bad 42-yard field goal.

With just a 21-19 lead in the fourth quarter and Saquon Barkley in concussion protocol, Hurts turned it back on. After Barkley left, Hurts hit Smith on a 21-yard completion and then connected with A.J. Brown on a 26-yard touchdown to give them a two-possession lead.

Even with the Vikings responding with a field to make it 28-22, the final drive saw Hurts call game with a 45-yard completion to Brown to seal the victory.

Hurts finished the game with a perfect quarterback rating of 158.3, completing 19 of 23 passes for a season-high 326 yards and three touchdowns. An epic performance from a quarterback who has taken a ton of criticism from the media.

With the Eagles now at 5-2, this will hopefully stop the media from completely trashing on Hurts as he had one of the best games of his career. All it took was one look for his teammates to know that they are going to win.
