The Philadelphia Eagles will be taking a trip overseas to London to face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 5.
This won't be an ordinary season for the Eagles, as they've faced multiple injuries and life without two of their top offensive linemen over the last few years. Lane Johnson kicked things off by retiring from the NFL on Tuesday, and then the Eagles traded Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens.
That should bring plenty of intrigue going into a matchup that the Eagles can certainly use a win in. Here is everything Eagles fans need to know about their game against the Jaguars.

Top storylines for Eagles vs. Jaguars Week 5
Eagles' offensive line without three Week 1 starters on the field
The Eagles are about to play a game that won't have Landon Dickerson, Cam Jurgens, and Lane Johnson on the field together. Instead, it's going to be Willie Lampkin, Drew Kendall, and rookie Markel Bell officially taking over.
Philly's only experienced starters beyond 2026 is left tackle Jordan Mailata and right guard Tyler Steen. This Eagles offensive is going to be going through it in this game, so it's all about whether they can hold their own against a very good Jaguars defense.
Jalen Hurts potentially playing without Saquon Barkley and DeVonta Smith
Hurts might have many offensive weapons out with Barkley and Smith as the two most important. It appears as though he might have Goedert back, which would be massive for the offense.
Even with pretty much a new offensive line in front of him, Hurts now faces pressure to step up and make sure he can help this team out. The Eagles can't afford to take a step back and need their franchise quarterback to do better than his 59% completion percentage on the season.
Can this Eagles' defense bounce back after a rough Week 4?
It's been an up-and-down season for a defense that was supposed to be elite. They didn't force their first turnover until the Rams game and have not been able to produce the sack numbers they need. To make matters worse, they could be without three starters in this game, including Greenard, Epps, and Campbell.
This defense really needs to step up in a big way, as it appears they will have Baun back and Mitchell may not miss a game after all. If the Eagles have any hopes of getting things back on track, this is the game that they have to get it done in.
Can Will Shipley handle the RB1 duties without Saquon Barkley and Tank Bigsby?
Shipley is about to make the start in the backfield with Dameon Pierce getting promoted from the practice squad to becoming the back. Carson Steele could be a last-second elevation from the practice squad as well, but Shipley will get the majorty of the carries.
This will be the first career start for Shipley, as he has been more of a third-down running back. Now he has to try to carry the load in the backfield and make sure the Eagles don't lose a step in their running game.

Must-see quotes from both sides ahead of Eagles-Jaguars
Jalen Hurts on Lane Johnson's retirement (via The Athletic's Zach Berman)
"As a person, I wish to see him smiling again. I wish to see him happy and at peace. That's what I sincerely wish for him. As a player...really hard to focus on considering the urgency I have to win."
Howie Roseman on the Cam Jurgens trade (via The Athletic's Zach Berman)
"We weren't looking to move Cam. Obviously, the Ravens have been looking for a center... Kind of told them wasn't anything we were looking to do. Over the last 24 hours, it got to the point where we felt like it could be a win-win for them. Obviously, getting a player who's been a two-time Pro Bowl center and obviously for us, being able to get the picks we're able to get, and use that money also to sign players. Had a chance to watch Drew here play center is doing a nice job. Have a young player there.
"...I think for us, when you talk about the two and the five, moving from the seventh to the fifth. We've had success in the fifth round, plus the money, plus you Drew playing, we felt like we were getting four players for one, and just felt like for us, you know, with all these guys that we got coming up, a lot on the defensive side of the ball that we want to re-sign and want to extend, felt like that that was a good situation."
Nick Sirianni on the message to the Eagles (via The Athletic's Zach Berman)
"Talked about staying together, locking arms, staying together, and just having each other's backs in this in a situation. We're on a two-game losing streak, also, and staying focused on the task at hand and locking arms and not letting anything penetrate that and being together."
Liam Coen on how Lane Johnson's retirement changes offensive line (via Around the NFL's Jeremy Bergman)
"Not much.
"I mean, it changes in terms of you're losing a really good player, right? … I think that they have confidence in the guys being able to step up and play."

"I think that's what makes him so challenging is that he's going to have those touchés a little bit, right? Where you're like, I thought I had him there or that looked like they schemed him up and then they play a totally different coverage that they had played maybe in that situation for the previous three to four weeks. That's what I've always really appreciated about him."
