Biggest Philadelphia Eagles storylines for Week 4
Zack Baun's injury status is a concern for Eagles
The Eagles may play without one of their top defensive players in Week 4, with Baun in concussion protocol. On a short week, this is the worst time for this to happen, as it may not give him enough time to clear it and return to play. If Baun can't play, Jeremiah Trotter Jr. will replace him in the starting lineup.
Can the Eagles' offense get things back on track for Week 4?
This offensive unit had zero points in the second half and struggled to get anything going for most of the game. The Eagles turned the ball over three times, tying for the fewest turnovers in the Nick Sirianni era. The unit has a lot of issues, but the question is whether they can get back on track before they really go off the rails.
How will the Eagles handle Puka Nacua if he returns in Week 4?
All signs point to Nacua returning for the Rams in Week 4 after working through his injury. This will certainly put a lot of pressure on the Eagles' secondary, which has struggled in recent weeks. Quinyon Mitchell will most likely cover Nacua, which should help, but guys like Riq Woolen and Cooper DeJean will need to get things back on track in a big way.
Jalen Hurts could be playing with some motivation entering the game
It wasn't a perfect Week 3 game for Hurts; he had zero touchdowns and one interception, but he kept his team in the game as long as he could before things went off the rails. Hurts needs a statement performance against a good football team, and if he can prove it against the Rams, that will go a long way in getting people off his back for a bit.
Can the Eagles' coaching staff rebound from terrible showing in Week 3?
Nick Sirianni, Sean Mannion, Vic Fangio, and the rest of the coaching staff may have had their worst collective game in a long time. They all need to do a better job of preparing their team and calling the right plays. Los Angeles will give them a nice challenge that needs to be met with much better results than in the Bears game.
