While some key players are returning for the Eagles' Week 6 game against the Carolina Panthers, plenty of talent will be out.

The biggest name on that list is running back Saquon Barkley, who is out for the second straight week with a hamstring injury. Barkley has practiced with the Eagles, but hasn't in the last two weeks.

Here is the full list of Philly players who are inactive for the game:

  • Saquon Barkley, RB
  • Joe Milton, QB3
  • Michael Carter II, S
  • Jalyx Hunt, EDGE
  • A.J. Epenesa, EDGE
  • Hollywood Brown, WR

Other big names are out for the Eagles, including Jalen Hurts, Will Shipley, Tank Bigsby, and Landon Dickerson. They are all on IR for now, leaving the Eagles' offense without much talent on that side of the ball.

Barkley is a massive loss for the rushing attack that has struggled mightily without him. With the top three running backs out, they are down to Dameon Pierce, Carson Steele, and Jaydon Blue as the next men up.

The Eagles will be shorthanded on the pass rush with Hunt and Epenesa out. They will at least have Jonathan Greenard back after missing three of the five games this season. Nolan Smith is the Eagles' other starting edge rusher.

Philly's offensive line will look a bit different from Week 5, with Drew Kendall back at center. Willie Lampkin will once again fill in at left guard for Landon Dickerson, who remains on IR.

Another major storyline is that DeVonta Smith is back for the Eagles after missing the last two games with his hamstring injury. Smith will return to the starting lineup alongside Dontayvion Wicks and Makai Lemon.

The storyline also centers on quarterback Tanner McKee making his first start of the season, replacing Hurts, who is on IR with a blood clot stemming from his calf injury. McKee will start at least the next four games unless something dramatic happens.

This is a big game for the Eagles that they are going to have to win without a lot of key players on the team. It's going to fall on the depth of the roster to help them through this tough time and pull off an upset over the Panthers in front of the home crowd.
