When Howie Roseman called Nolan Smith to inform the former Georgia star that the Philadelphia Eagles intended to draft him, he joked that it 'broke his heart' to select all of those former Bulldogs. Nolan's Response? 'But, you want to win though!'...
Currently, seven Dawgs are on the roster: Smith, Jalen Carter, Lewis Cine, Jordan Davis, Nakobe Dean, Azeez Ojulari, and Kelee Ringo. Seven more Birds make up what we affectionately refer to as The Philly Tide
Jalen Hurts, Landon Dickerson, Cameron Latu, Eli Ricks, DeVonta Smith, Tyler Steen, and Byron Young all spent time cutting their teeth collegiately at the University of Alabama.
Howie is a University of Florida alum. There aren't any Gators on Philly's roster, but they reportedly have invited one to town for a workout.
Nearly a dozen prospects will visit Philly to attend the Eagles local pro day.
As the NFL Draft nears and Philly continues meeting with prospects for Top 30 visits, another portion of the pre-draft process is upon us: the Eagles' local pro day. There, they'll host, interview, and work out prospects. Florida linebacker R.J. Moten will attend. He spent two years (18 games total) with the Gators after a three-year stint in Michigan with the Wolverines.
He has notched 96 tackles, two sacks, and two interceptions over his 47-game career. Other prospects will attend as well. Here's the list of prospects that we have verified are attending. Keep in mind this is a running list, and we will learn who many of those other prospects are later.
- R.J. Moten, LB, Florida Gators
- Demie Sumo-Karngbaye, RB, Kentucky Wildcats
- Alijah Clark, S, Syracuse Orange
- Chuck Smith IV, EDGE, Villanova Wildcats
- Josh Pearcy, EDGE, Rice Owls
- Kahzir Brown, CB, Florida Atlantic Owls
- Tyreem Powell, LB, Rutgers Scarlet Knights
- Kyle Monangai, RB, Rutgers
- Robert Longerbeam, CB, Rutgers
- Shaquan Loyal, S, Rutgers
- Austin Riggs, LS, Rutgers
Worth noting: Chuck Smith IV is the son of former Atlanta Falcons pass rusher Chuck Smith. He announced he'd visit Philly via his X account.

Keep an eye on these prospects. There are certainly more prospects in attendance, and we expect to learn their names later. The NFL Draft nears. We'll see if their performances eventually lead to Philly acquiring them via the selection meeting or shortly thereafter as free agents.
