Going into the 2026 season, the Philadelphia Eagles have plenty of teams they are facing off against that would make for great television, but one team they play just makes more sense for prime time, and it's none of the NFC East teams.
Bleacher Report writer Brad Gagnon listed off 12 games in 2026 that fans want to see in prime time. One of those matchups is the Eagles hosting the Los Angeles Rams.
"This year's Super Bowl favorite against the 2024 champion, and a matchup between two of the most talented and experienced overall teams in the NFL. You've also got the reigning MVP (Matthew Stafford) going up against the last quarterback to win Super Bowl MVP (Jalen Hurts). They met for a thriller last September that was inexplicably buried in an early-Sunday afternoon time slot, so hopefully the league will correct that this time around. You really can't go wrong with this potential NFC title game preview."
Eagles fans would love to see their team play the Rams in prime time
It seems that every time the Eagles and Rams play each other, the games have been instant classics. This matchup has gotten so intense that Los Angeles players like Jared Verse have been outspoken about hating the Eagles' fan base.
The last two times the Eagles and Rams played each other, they were one-possession games at Lincoln Financial Field. It took two fourth quarter field goal blocks and a 19-point comeback for the Eagles to take down the Rams 33-26 in last year's game. Back in 2024, the two teams played twice: the Eagles won the regular season matchup by double digits, then again in the NFC Divisional Round, 28-22, in the only playoff game that year for the Eagles, where they didn't win by 10 or more points.
Philly has owned the series over the last two decades as the Eagles have won 11 of the last 13 matchups against the Rams. The last time Los Angeles beat them was in 2020.

There may not be many guarantees in the 2026 schedule, but the Eagles-Rams game is one fans can predict as a nail-biter.
