Final battle plans to ensure an Eagles victory over the Browns in Week 6

A few hours remain until showtime. Another Philadelphia Eagles home game... We've heard much of what we thought we'd hear. Most of it takes us back to phrases we've worked to death.

Preparation... The standard... Coaches are pleased with what they see. Private conversations will be kept private. Here's a bonus. Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts actually enjoy each other's company. Who would have thought?

The Birds are supposed to win this game, and we believe they will. The matchups are favorable. The Browns are struggling. The roadmap to victory seems easy to draw.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense must take what the Browns' defense gives them.

The turnovers have been discussed ad nauseam. There's really nothing else that can be added to attack theories about ball security from newer angles.

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles offense must protect the football. Don't force throws if they aren't there. If they do that, the Browns will eventually provide them with plenty of opportunities to make plays.

Eagles pass rush must bully the Browns battered O-line

They say a quarterback's best friend is a strong running game and his worst enemy is immediate pressure from the defensive interior. The Browns' best tailback is out (Nick Chubb). That should help what's been a suspect Eagles run defense, and several of Cleveland's offensive linemen are limping into this contest.

Jedrick Wills, Ethan Pocic, Zak Zinter, and Jack Conklin have been on the injury report all week. All are expected to play minus Pocic, but if Philly's D-line can't bully this unit, we have to be concerned.

Fortunately, this feels like an opportunity for Philly's pass rush to gain some confidence.

Don't allow Deshaun Watson to gain any confidence. We believe his teammates may have lost the confidence in him.

Deshaun Watson hasn't eclipsed a quarterback rating of 90 all season. He hasn't finished a game having thrown more for six yards per attempt. The Browns only converted one of 13 third-down attempts vs. the Commanders in Week 5.

Deshaun Watson has been sacked 26 times this season. The Eagles have only registered six all year. 

Cleveland gave up more than that during their most recent game, seven to be exact. His teammates have to have lost some faith. We'd rather not see him find any rhythm vs the Eagles. Preventing him from doing so should work in Philly's favor.

Darius Slay and the Eagles secondary vs. the Browns WRs and tight ends 

Amari Cooper's 60 receiving yards led all Browns pass catchers in Week 6. The Eagles, minus a decent showing in New Orleans, haven't stopped anyone. Fingers are crossed for a confidence booster.

The Browns haven't gotten going against anyone. Something has got to give here, right?

One of the bright sides coming into this one is Philly has kept tight ends in check. Jordan Akins and David Njoku have combined for 17 catches, 156 yards receiving, and one touchdown on the season.

Message to Nick Fangio... Don't let these guys go off. This one may be gift-wrapped. Philly is the better team. They need only play as such.
