After a worrying performance from the Philadelphia Eagles against the high-powered offense of the Los Angeles Rams, this team could use some help at cornerback. Outside of Quinyonn Mitchell and Cooper DeJean, the position might be this team's biggest weakness.

Isaiah Rodgers just made fans wish he had never left with a game-breaking performance in Week 3. The Minnesota Vikings defender took over against the Cincinnati Bengals, reminding the Eagles why they should have kept him in the building.

The cornerback is already shining in his new home, while Philadelphia struggles to adapt to life without his services.

Isaiah Rodgers makes Eagles wish he never left after stellar performance

In just one half, Rodgers proved himself deserving of every penny the Vikings paid him in free agency. Playing against backup Bengals quarterback Jake Browning, the veteran quarterback had the best day of his career.

First, he broke on a short throw from Browning for an early interception. With wide open space in front of him, the former Eagles defender returned the pick 87 yards for a touchdown to give his team the lead.

But the cornerback wasn't done yet. He followed it up with a fumble recovery, which he returned 66 yards for a touchdown. Rodgers himself put up more yards than the Eagles' offense did in their slow first half against the Rams.

By halftime, the cornerback had an interception, two forced fumbles, a fumble recovery, two pass deflections, and three tackles for the Vikings. He was the focal point of a dominant team performance and made a strong case for NFC Defensive Player of the Week..

While Rodgers never had a performance anywhere near this one during his time in Philadelphia, he was a capable member of what was a strong Eagles secondary. Along with Mitchell, DeJean, and Darius Slay, the veteran helped form a unit that this defense could truly rely on.

Now, the Eagles are forced to try their best to cover up their second outside cornerback. Whether it's Adoree Jackson, Jakorian Bennett, or Kelee Ringo, the position is consistently targeted by opposing offenses.

This team doesn't necessarily need another star in the secondary, but what they currently have on the roster might not be good enough to help them back to the Super Bowl. If Rodgers were still around, this defense would arguably be without any obvious weaknesses. He could return the secondary to competence, which is exactly what it needs to be.
