Former Eagles pass rusher Haason Reddick sees his holdout take a drastic turn

Watching the Philadelphia Eagles play football for several decades has given us plenty of stories to tell the grandchildren. We've seen some wild things happen. Some of them were funny. Many felt like a gut punch.

Reggie White signing with the Green Bay Packers... That's a gut punch. Watching Eagles fans seemingly buy the entire world's supply of dog masks... That was funny.

Watching Terrell Owens do sit-ups in the driveway... Neither a gut punch nor funny... Where oh where do we place the Haason Reddick saga? You won't believe what's happened now!

Money is a touchy subject sometimes when it comes to NFL franchises and their players. We've seen some rough stuff. Remember Jeremiah Trotter's franchise tag? That led to one of the most bitter standoffs between a player and the organization that we have ever seen.

Haason Reddick left more quietly, but make no mistake. He tried to be as professional as possible, but he wasn't happy. We all know that. We saw him do the 'greet the fans' thing with a quick live announcement on a New York Jets cell phone. He seemingly hasn't been seen or heard from since.

He's the NFL's last holdout, and it appears his agency isn't happy. According to multiple sources including NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and ESPN's Adam Schefter, CAA is parting ways with the former Eagles pass rusher.

It feels weird to call him a Jet.

Okay, let's dive into this for a second. Reddick is one of the best pass rushers walking the planet. He feels he should be compensated as such. We get it. We can argue about his methods, but we understand where he's coming from.

It's also fair to state he's doing himself more of a disservice than a solid. His negotiations with the Jets have seemingly stalled with no happy ending in sight.

We don't know anymore. It's never good when an agency parts ways with a player, but what would you do if you were him?
