The Philadelphia Eagles have been more focused on getting their coaching staff straightened out first, but a former player of theirs found himself a new home.

Former Eagles wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. is signing with the Miami Dolphins, according to his agency, Elite Loyalty Sports. Marshall spent time with the Eagles in training camp, catching seven passes for 66 yards, but an injury cost him a spot on the 53-man roster, with Darius Cooper winning out. Marshall would get re-signed to the practice squad, as he would bounce back and forth between it and the active roster all season.

Marshall has played for three other teams in his NFL career, including the Carolina Panthers, San Francisco 49ers, and Las Vegas Raiders. He has caught 67 passes for 808 yards and one touchdown in 43 career games.

Eagles fans who monitored training camp closely would say that Marshall was actually really good in practices. He has a legit shot at making the 53-man roster, especially after Johnny Wilson's untimely injury early in camp.

Cooper was no doubt the standout from training camp, and it was hard to argue against him making the roster over Marshall with what he did on offense and special teams. It was good that the Eagles were able to keep Marshall around for most of the season.

One surprising thing, though, is that Eagles general manager Howie Roseman decided not to get Marshall on a reserve/future contract at the end of the season. Instead, Roseman signed receivers Danny Gray and Quez Watkins over Marshall.

While he didn't make an impact on the roster, Eagles fans will be watching from afar to see what happens with Marshall, just to see if there is a future where he might return to the practice squad.
