The Philadelphia Eagles sure are not scared of calling their division rivals to make a trade in the NFL Draft, as they did so with the Dallas Cowboys.
Philly did it back in 2021 when the Eagles got wide receiver DeVonta Smith and the Cowboys got edge rusher Micah Parsons, so it worked out pretty well for both sides. They decided to repeat history once again in the 2026 NFL Draft with another first-round trade.
The Eagles struck a deal with the Cowboys, with Philly receiving the 20th overall pick and a seventh-round pick, while Dallas got the 23rd, 114th, and 137th overall picks. With the 20th pick, the Eagles got USC wide receiver Maki Lemon.
A great deal done by the Eagles as the traded with the Cowboys
This was a great deal for the Eagles, as they moved up to ensure they got their wide receiver of the future. A.J. Brown is likely to be traded in June, so it makes sense for Eagles general manager Howie Roseman to make the deal and get a higher pick. Roseman was looking to move up all along, and when the offensive tackles went fast, it became clear for them to get a wide receiver.
For Dallas, they drop a few spots and lose out on edge-rusher help, with some of those being picked in between. Also, the fourth-round selections they got most likely won't turn out to be anything they can use, since it is on Day 3.

Overall, this was a move the Eagles needed, and the Cowboys actually allowed them to get better on offense rather than holding them back by selecting Lemon themselves. Philly no doubt won this trade with ease.
