Philadelphia Eagles fans are still trying to catch their breath after watching that stress-filled 24-20 win over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2, but quarterback Jalen Hurts caused it all.

Hurts finished the game completing 26 of 37 passes for 264 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. He added another 16 yards on five carries in the victory.

Well, after all that talk about Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons saying that they want Hurts to make him "be a QB." It was far from perfect, but it was Hurts playing quarterback that got the job done in the game,

Let's grade Jalen Hurts' performance in the Eagles-Titans game in Week 2

Looking at the turnovers first by Jalen Hurts

On the first drive of the game, Hurts threw three incompletions, but he looked good until the end of the drive. It ended with a Titans interception in the end zone that was returned 92 yards, setting up a Tennessee touchdown.

That throw by Hurts was terrible; it was one of the worst decisions he's made. It was in double coverage, and he tried to force it to DeVonta Smith, but it just didn't work. Many Eagles fans were wondering why Hurts made that throw in the first place.

With Hurts' second interception in the fourth quarter, he had Smith wide open and if he hits him in stride, it's either a touchdown or a long completion. Instead, Hurts underthrew him by able two to three yards and it was an easy pick with two defenders in the area.

It was a rare deep ball touch pass that Hurts missed, which was odd for him since he is a very good deep ball passer. That's something the he is going to have to fix moving forward.

What Jalen Hurts did well throughout the game

Hurts always bounces back well from a turnover, no matter what. He completed all his passes for over a quarter-plus after throwing the first interception of the game.

The touchdown pass to Smith was so impressive to watch. Hurts escaped pressure, ran upfield in the pocket, and threw a great ball on the run to Smith in the end zone.

If Eagles fans want to see how good Hurts is, watch the final drive of the game. His passes to Smith were magical to watch, and his deep ball completion to the sideline in the red zone was nice to see.

That final touchdown, though, deserves its respect. Yes, it was a high pass, and Darius Cooper had to climb the ladder to do it, but that's where it was at: Hurts needed to throw it. That was the safe decision by Hurts to throw it high and make sure he didn't throw a third interception. He trusted Cooper to make that catch, and it was a good decision by Hurts.

Overall assessment of Jalen Hurts' performance in the Week 2 win

There is a lot to be desired in Hurts and how he needed to play. The two interceptions were hard to watch because they were both completely on him.

If not for the interceptions, he would have earned a very high grade for his play. Week 2 was more about what Hurts can do with his arm than his legs. His athleticism is an extension of how good a quarterback he is, even if he still has things to work on.
