The A.J. Brown trade rumors have spread like wildfire at the NFL Combine, with Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman having to answer for those questions all week.

Roseman has been adamant that the Eagles are not actively shopping Brown, but he is willing to at least listen to offers. A report surfaced after the season that Brown had asked to be traded multiple times, which only intensified the trade talk.

The Philadelphia Inquirer's Jeff McLane shared that the Eagles are assessing Brown's trade market while at the NFL Combine, and there is an asking price. Roseman is looking for a first and second-round pick for Brown.

This is a clear message from Roseman to the rest of the NFL: if teams are serious about trading for Brown, they have to give up a lot to get him. Initially, people thought it would take just a late first-round pick or a second-rounder to land Brown, but Roseman wants more.

It makes all the sense in the world for the Eagles since it's Philly that will take a bigger hit with a Brown trade than the other team. If the Eagles trade Brown before the June 1 date, Philly does not save money as they lose over $20 million for his departure.

Last year's numbers were not great for Brown, who had 1,003 yards and seven touchdowns for the Eagles. He missed the Pro Bowl and All-Pro for the first time as an Eagle since he joined the team in 2022, and also was not the leading receiver for the team for the first time.

Brown is no slouch of a receiver, as he has had 1,000 yards in six of his seven seasons in the NFL. He's a three-time Pro Bowler and a two-time second-team All-Pro selection in his NFL career.

Roseman is making it clear that it is going to be tough to trade for Brown, so it's safe to assume his getting traded is less likely with that kind of compensation.
