Oh no. Not good.

One thing has always been certain about Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman: he'll find the money to make any move he needs to.

Roseman has always been joked as a "salary cap wizard" with the way he has been able to manipulate the rules in his favor. He would find ways to restructure players' contracts, work the dead cap space to his favor, and play the system however he can.

That luck might have finally run out for Roseman, as Over The Cap's Jason Fitzgerald shared recent data on each NFL team's potential restructuring for 2026. The Eagles have only have $0.2 million, with the next lowest being the New York Jets at $29.5 million.

Eagles only have $0.2 million on restructuring potential for 2026

For an all-important offseason for the Eagles, this is about as crushing a news as it can get. Over The Cap has the Eagles' salary cap space at $20.5 million entering the offseason, leaving them little room to work with.

Roseman still has big decisions to make with the free agents coming up for the Eagles. Some of those important names include edge rusher Jaelan Phillips, linebacker Nakobe Dean, safety Reed Blankenship, and tight end Dallas Goedert.

Aside from straight-up cutting players to save salary cap space, the Eagles might not have many options. They might be forced to let some of those starters go in favor of younger, cheaper players in the NFL Draft to replace them.

That also brings up the one player every media member is pushing for: wide receiver A.J. Brown. His over $70 million dead cap, plus the financial hit the Eagles would take from trading him away, will only make the situation worse for Philly, even if they save $7 million on the cap by sending him packing after June 1.

Philly is not in the greatest position this offseason, as Roseman will have to make some tougher decisions than he has in the past. All that work he did has finally caught up to him in the worst way.
