Sometimes, Philadelphia Eagles general manager Howie Roseman can really stress the fan base out with his roster moves, but he always has a plan.
Many Eagles fans were confused about cutting long snapper Charley Hughlett to start the week, but special teams coordinator Michael Clay didn't seem too stressed about the move.
"Yeah, Howie does a great job in terms of the roster and all the moves. We always have a plan in place, so it all fall into it, and I don't want to get too much into it. We've got a plan in place."
Roseman's plan is coming into shape for Eagles
Hughlett's departure didn't last long as his agent, Brett Tessler, took to social media to announce that Hughlett had re-signed with the Eagles to their practice squad. While the plan hasn't been made public, it's most likely that Philly will elevate Hughlett later in the week to be active for their Week 18 showdown against the Washington Commanders.
The Philadelphia Eagles have signed my client Charley Hughlett to their practice squad. 14-year vet is one of the top long snappers in the League and has been with them since the start of the season.

The Athletic's Zach Berman explained his theory on what Roseman is going to do with the moves after the Eagles announced that they had released defensive end Titus Leo.
This maneuver could be a way for the Eagles to add a player to the 53-man roster ineligible for elevation. Andre' Sam and Patrick Johnson would both need to be on the 53 to play in a game.
The Eagles released DE Titus Leo from the practice squad. That opens a spot for them to bring back Charley Hughlett, who is returning to the practice squad (per agent @TesslerSports)

Hughlett was always going to come back to the Eagles, as he has been a good long snapper for the team. Despite missing time this season to a core muscle injury, he is 7-0 when he is in the lineup this season.
This could also be a sign that players like Sam and Johnson are getting on the active roster as the Eagles are still deciding on what to do with the starters in Week 18. Many Eagles beat reporters believe head coach Nick Sirianni is showing signs of wanting the rest of the starters, so they could be replacements for those who sit out the Commanders game.

There's always a plan from Roseman, so Eagles should trust that he knows what he is doing with the wild roster moves, even if they don't make sense at the moment.
