You have no idea how bad we wanted this Super Bowl win. As the game drew closer, we were certain that our Philadelphia Eagles would win, but every now and again, a thought crossed our minds as the hour drew closer. What if they don't? You have to remember. Once upon a time, we were certain they'd win Super Bowl LVII too!
Then, the days and nights got stranger. We'd dream the Birds won it all, only to wake up and realize the game hadn't been played yet. Game day arrived, and Philly rolled. They didn't just beat the Kansas City Chiefs. They demolished them. As the confetti fell, it was hard to come to grips with what we were feeling. The desire to celebrate was replaced with another emotion, relief.
We were relieved we didn't have to endure another Super Bowl loss to Andy Reid. We were relieved Carson Wentz didn't win his first ring playing against Philadelphia.
Now, we get to begin the hunt anew. It's time for another offseason. Everything starts with the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine.
